Camera, flight and slicer
Look around, fly through your build, use the view cube and cut it open with the slicer.
Looking around
With the camera tool (V or Esc):
- Drag with the mouse or trackpad to look around.
- Scroll or two-finger scroll to zoom.
- Fly while the pointer is over the view: W A S D move in the viewing direction, Space or E rises, Shift or Q sinks, ← → strafe.
- Speed: ↑ doubles and ↓ halves the flight speed (2 to 256 blocks per second, 16 at the start). The current speed is shown in the view.
- Esc stops any movement.
Flight passes through blocks; nothing blocks the camera. The mouse is never captured in this mode.
View cube
The cube in the corner follows the camera. Click a face for an exact front, back, left, right, top or bottom view; drag it to rotate; Home or 3D returns to the perspective overview.
Slicer
Slice in the dock (or C) opens a slicer with two handles per axis: Y as a vertical rail on the right, X and Z at the bottom. Everything outside the range is cut away, one block per step, so you can look into rooms and floors. The top Y handle is the visible height – lower it to take off roofs and storeys. Double-click a rail to reset that axis; C with an active cut removes it.
Cutting only changes the view, never the build. Marks, clicks and walk mode follow the cut, and a PNG export of the current view keeps it.
Focus and parts
In Details → Structure you can focus the camera on any part of the build, hide parts or isolate one – everything else slides away. See Structure, materials and effort.
