Terms of use
1. Service and provider
genMC is a studio for creating, saving and sharing Minecraft skins and builds. The provider is the operator of genMC, a non-commercial hobby project, reachable at contact@genmc.app. Use is currently free of charge. A later paid feature would be shown separately before you use it.
2. Private projects and sign-in
Private drafts need no account. They are then tied to a browser identifier; if it is lost, access to the drafts may be lost. Publishing a build requires an account, publishing a skin currently does not. Anyone who receives a secret build link can open the linked project, so share such links only with people you want to give access to.
3. Publishing and remixing
Publishing makes a copy of the selected skin or build publicly visible under the chosen name. Others can use it in genMC as a template, change it and save or publish their own variants. The name and any origin may be shown. Chats, markers and the edit history of a build are not published.
You keep your rights to your own content. By publishing, you grant the provider a simple, royalty-free right to store the published copy for the gallery, reproduce it technically, display it publicly and provide it for the remix and export features. You allow other users to use and edit the copy as a template within these features. These rights apply for as long as the copy is publicly available. Independent variants created before then are not affected.
You can currently delete your own published builds in the build gallery. Published skins cannot yet be deleted by yourself; ask the provider at contact@genmc.app to remove them.
4. Rules for content and use
Publish only content you hold the necessary rights to. Content must not infringe the rights of others, must not contain unlawful content or other people's personal data without permission, and must not be used to harass or deceive. Technical safeguards must not be bypassed and the service must not be impaired by automated mass requests. The rights of their respective owners also apply to Minecraft materials and imported templates.
5. Visibility and moderation
The galleries generally show published content by publication time, newest first; searching by name is possible. Limits on quantity and minimum size apply to builds. Publications by new accounts become visible to others only after 24 hours. The report button in the build gallery requires an account. After three reports from different accounts, a build is hidden automatically. This is a technical safeguard, not a final legal assessment of the content.
Unlawful content or violations of these rules may be reviewed and, where necessary and proportionate, removed or blocked. For repeated or serious violations, an account may be restricted. Where a way to contact them exists, affected people receive the legally required information about such decisions.
6. Reports and questions
To report allegedly unlawful gallery content, please give the link or exact location, the reason for the report and a way to contact you, and send it to contact@genmc.app. The report button in the build gallery is a quick signal without a reason; for legal violations, please use this email.
7. Statutory rights
The statutory liability rules and mandatory consumer rights apply. Information on the processing of personal data is in the privacy policy. Changes to these terms are announced before they take effect; where consent is required, it will be obtained.
